ActiveSync is different from Exchange Web Services announced with SmarterMail v9, ActiveSync is a supported protocol in Outlook 2013 and higher for desktops on Windows, it will also work with mobile devices such as Apple’s iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android devices, and of course Windows Phone 7 and higher devices.
