The upgrades that were scheduled for this weekend have been partially completed. The upgrades to our router have been completed without issues. The new hardware for our 5th generation router is around 10x more powerful than the previous one. Since this was a full hardware upgrade, we’ve also upgraded the router network interfaces to very high-end Intel 10GbE cards. While most of our servers are 1GbE, the boost in the main network cards that handle all the incoming / outgoing traffic has really helped our performance. We fully expect that all customers will notice much better performance and latency from our Denver, Colorado location.
The upgrades for our mail server MX01 did not complete. Due to issues that were not seen in our tests we were unable to complete the migration into our cloud hosting platform. Issues with our Adaptec storage system prevented the installation of Server 2012 R2. The server was restored to its original configuration and brought back online after several hours.
The maintenance for MX01 will be rescheduled at a much later date, possibly towards the end of July. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this, we will have this resolved at a later date.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time and for choosing ASPnix as your hosting provider!
