This evening we will be moving our MYSQL01 server into our Hyper-V cloud environment. This migration will move MySQL into a massive multi-server backed farm powered by Intel’s E5 v3 Xeons. This upgrade will improve the performance, scalability and reliability of MySQL greatly! You can expect to see higher throughput, faster query execution and more efficient query caching. We will also be upgrading the OS that MySQL operates on to Server 2012 R2 from 2008 R2 in order to take full advantage of the new hardware.
