Over the past month or so, several users have reported issues with publishing content through the Web Deploy system with our Shared Hosting servers. We are pleased to announce that the issues plaguing the Web Deploy system have been resolved. We’ve fully tested each web server one-by-one and were successful publishing content to all of them without issues.
We’ve also updated the Web Deploy services from v3.0 to the latest build v3.5. This introduces web.config settings encryption post-publishing as well as Application Offline Template. The Application Offline Template displays a simple static-HTML page to your users letting them know your application is offline for maintenance etc. Perfect for notifying your users that everything OK, but that you are working on your website!
